O tema de hoje é a cor preta. Uma cor difícil de usar em interiores, principalmente em ambientes como a maioria dos exemplos das imagens. É uma cor que torna o ambiente pesado se não for utilizada com cores mais brilhantes e luminosas. Gosto de apontamentos pretos num espaço onde as cores claras dominam.

O que acham? Eram capazes de usar preto total num espaço? Ou só uns apontamentos?

The topic today is black. A difficult colour to use indoors, especially in spaces like most of the examples in the images. It is a colour that makes an environment “heavy” if not used with brighter colours. I like to add some notes in a black to a project where the light colours dominate.

Com apenas 213 m² a loja de luxo Alexander McQueen de Miami foi pensada em torno da estética da marca McQueen. Enaltecendo as praias de Miami a inspiração inclui a fauna, a flora e os recifes de corais.

Segundo David Collins, responsável pelo desenvolvimento do projecto:

"It's about McQueen as a point of view," Collins says in a statement, "the idea of making a dress out of razor clam shells or sheaves of corn, the manipulation of nature to make ornament. We were thinking about eroticism and sexuality. Everything is exaggerated and very slightly distorted."

With only 2,300 square foot the luxury store Alexander McQueen of Miami was designed around the aesthetic of the brand McQueen. Emulating Miami's seashore, inspirations include flora, fauna, and the coral reef.

According to David Collins, responsible for the development of the project:

Projecto - Mark English Architects

O Apartamento Fontana em São Francisco, California foi projectado pelo atelier Mark English Architects em colaboração com o designer de interiores Gary Hutton.

Segundo os designers trata-se de uma reinvenção de um apartamento localizado numa das duas torres semi-circulares com vistas deslumbrantes desde a Golden Gate Bridge até à Bay Bridge. Foram removidas todas as paredes não estruturais de forma a ampliar o espaço e a permitir todos as divisões de usufruírem das grandes janelas. Cores neutras onde o laranja ganha protagonismo!

The Fontana Apartment in San Francisco, California was designed by Mark English Architects in collaboration with interior designer Gary Hutton.
According to the designers is a reinvention of an apartment located in one of the two semi-circular towers with breathtaking views from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Bridge. They removed all non-bearing walls in order to enlarge the apartment and allow all spaces to enjoy the large windows. Neutral colors where the protagonist were oranges is the protagonist!

A apresentação do IKEA HOTTEL esta manhã revelou-se uma surpresa! A ideia à partida parecia ter tudo para dar certo, 26 quartos num jardim de Lisboa – um hotel feito com têxteis. A verdade é que ideia é de facto muito muito boa!! O jardim da Estrela, que só por si já é um encanto, ficou ainda mais colorido e acolhedor com tantas camas.

O objectivo da marca IKEA é tornar todos os momentos do dia-a-dia especiais e ajudar o cliente a procurar o seu estilo próprio em decoração. Vamos visitar este Hottel? Só vai ser possível este fim de semana!

The presentation of the Hottel IKEA this morning proved to be a surprise! The idea seemed to have everything to be good, 26 rooms in a garden of Lisbon - a hotel made of textile. The truth is that idea is actually excellent! The Jardim da Estrela, (in the heart of Lisbon) which in itself is already a charm, was even more colourful and welcoming with so many beds.
The aim of the IKEA brand is to create a better everyday life and help the client to discover his own style of decor. Come visit this Hottel! It will only be possible this weekend!

Um apartamento modelo sem o ar impessoal que muitas vezes se encontra. Um apartamento elegante, contemporâneo, intemporal e com cores neutras do atelier CJC Design. A maioria das peças de mobiliário usadas são da sua autoria e foram misturadas com peças de Le Corbusier, Charles & Ray Eames, Tom Dixon e algumas peças dos anos 70.

A model apartment without the impersonal touch that is often found. An elegant, contemporary, timeless apartment with neutral colours with the design of the CJC Design. Most furniture pieces used are their own design and were mixed with pieces of Le Corbusier, Charles & Ray Eames, Tom Dixon and some parts of the 70s.

O atelier Studioprototype foi o escolhido e depois de delineado o plano foi uma questão de entrar em acção com muita organização. Mármore Carrara, madeira e candeeiros Tom Dixon. O resultado? Um espaço acolhedor e adorável!

A Greek small bakery, located in Edessa on the main street, a family business that was calling for a redesign. The Studioprototype was chosen and after outlined the plan it time to get in action with a lot of organization. Carrara marble, wood and Tom Dixon lamps. The result? A cozy and adorable space!

Já aqui vos falei da exposição que estava patente no Centro das Artes Casa das Mudas e hoje mostro-vos o edifício da autoria do arquitecto Paulo David.

O centro de artes localiza-se numa falésia sobre o mar onde parece desafiar constantemente a gravidade. Um projecto que se apropria do espaço sem o anular, passa a fazer parte integrante do lugar. Nasceu com o intuito de sensibilizar e interessar o publico para as artes em particular a arte contemporânea. Um espaço a visitar tanto pela sua arquitectura como pelas exposições!

Have I told you here about the exposition that was hold in the Centro das Artes Casa das Mudas and now I want to show the building designed by the architect Paulo David. The arts center is located on a cliff overlooking the sea which seems to defy gravity constantly. A project that appropriates the space without annulling it and that became an integral part of the place. He was born with the aim of persuading the public interest for the arts in particular contemporary art. A place to visit for both motifs: its architecture as the exhibitions!
