A viagem a Espanha foi, desta vez, para longe dos grandes centros urbanos! Barcelona é uma das minha cidades favoritas mas esta semana optámos por Mérida e Cáceres. Não conhecia nenhuma das cidades e fiquei encantada com as duas, principalmente com a primeira!
The trip to Spain was, this time away
from the big cities! Barcelona is one of my favorite cities but this week we
decided to Mérida and Cáceres. We didn’t know any of this two cities and I was
blown away with the two, especially with the first!
As ruinas romanas do Teatro e do
Anfiteatro são muito lindas e acima de tudo estão muito bem preservadas (mais
do que as que vi em Roma!). Mérida é uma cidade encantadora e muito acolhedora!
O Museu Nacional de Arte Romana, projetado por Rafael Moneo em 1986, contém as
estatuas originais e todas as peças que foram encontradas nas escavações
arqueológicas.
The ruins of the Roman Theatre
and Amphitheatre are very beautiful and above all are very well preserved (more
than I saw in Rome!). Mérida is a lovely city and very welcoming! The National
Museum of Roman Art, designed by Rafael Moneo in 1986, contains the original statues
and all the parts that were found during archaeological excavations.
Em Cáceres a cidade antiga percorre-se
por ruas e ruelas onde nem sempre é possível passar um carro. Uma cidade dentro
de muralhas onde a pedra é o material mais visível! No Museu de Cáceres
encontra-se arqueologia, etnografia e a cisterna. Uma cidade para nos perdermos
nos seus recantos e descobrir jardins interiores que nos deslumbram.
In Caceres, the old town runs along
streets and alleys where it is not always possible to pass a car. A walled city
where the stone is the most visible material! At the Museum of Caceres we can
find archeology, ethnography and the
tank. A city to get lost in their corners and find amazing interior gardens.
