Projecto - Atelier Ábaton

Um antigo estábulo na província de Cáceres, Espanha, dá lugar a uma casa de família.

Respeitando  o lugar e as pré-existências, o Atelier Ábaton, propõe a abertura de um grande espaço central para a sala e cozinha, em torno do qual estão dispostos os vários quartos.

Os materiais usados foram, maioritariamente, a água, ferro, cimento e a pedra existente. No pátio onde se encontra o chafariz, a água flui naturalmente de uma rocha, ajudando a arrefecer a casa nos meses quentes de Verão. Um dos terraços agrícolas torna-se uma piscina natural, onde a água corre constantemente e serve também de irrigação aos campos.

Um retiro bem gostoso no meio da Serra de Gredos.

A former stable in the province of Caceres, Spain, gives rise to a family home.
Respecting the place and pre-existing, Atelier Abaton, proposes to open a central space for the living room and kitchen, around which are arranged the various bedrooms.
The materials used, were mainly, water, iron, concrete and the pre-existing stone. In the courtyard where is the fountain, the water flows naturally from a rock, helping to cool the house in the hot summer months. One of the agricultural terraces becomes a natural swimming pool, where the water flows constantly and also serves to irrigation fields.
A very nice retreat in the middle of the Sierra de Gredos.
